Alkyl amine is ammonia derived carbon compounds if one or more of its H atoms replaced by alkyl groups. Thus, the amine is divided into three kinds, namely:
1. Ie if a primary amine H atoms of NH 3 is replaced by alkyl groups.
The formula is written primary amine R - NH2
2. Secondary amine that is if the two H atoms of NH3 is replaced by alkyl groups.
The formula is written secondary amine R - NH - R
3. Tertiary amine that is if the three H atoms of NH 3 is replaced by alkyl groups.
Amine compounds (either primary amine compounds, secondary and tertiary) has the general formula: CnH2n +3 N n is the number of atoms C.

Preparation of amines:
Reacting alkyl halides with ammonia (alkyl Hoffman).

Isomerasi the amine is determined by:
1. Its C-chain (branched or not)
2. Location of N-his
3. Aminanya kinds (primary, secondary, or tertiary).
