Alkanon is considered to be derivatives of hydrocarbon compounds with fungsioal C = O group (carbonyl group).

Alcohol (monovalent alcohol) with the general formula R-OH can be considered a derivative of an alkane hydroxyl or alkyl derivatives of water.
